Set against the iconic arches, the four-day-only Murray Christmas Market promises to be full of treats and delights for guests to get their gift lists checked off. Those who prefer a chic and stylish experience should look no further than the flamboyant Festive Afternoon Tea that serves a lavish spread of sweet and savoury delights on the rooftop Popinjays, from 1 December 2021 to 2 January 2022 at HKD 398 per person.
The pet favourite Paws For Tea will return for a festive edition on 5 and 12 December at Cotton Tree Terrace. Human guests will relish the Christmas-themed afternoon tea treats at HKD 898 for two persons while pooches will be spoilt with luxurious goodies at the Pet Marketplace.
Festive Brunch
Merrymakers can get into the holiday spirit with various brunch options at the garden level restaurants and on the rooftop at The Murray on 4, 5, 11, 12, 18 and 19 December. The Murray Festive Brunch at The Tai Pan and Garden Lounge is featuring a sumptuous spread of wholesome salads, smoked seafood, charcuterie, carvery and mains made to order. The family-friendly semi-buffet brunch comes complete with a kid’s corner loaded with delicious bites for the young ones. It is available at HKD 798 per adult and HKD 398 per child.
With unparalleled panoramic views from the rooftop as the backdrop, holiday brunch at Popinjays features an exquisite selection of jet-fresh seafood and live stations. Appetisers and main courses are prepared à la minute while champagne pairing options are also available for an elevated dining experience. Murray Lane is offering an unlimited serving of cold cuts and desserts on display alongside your choice of tapas from an enticing selection, showcasing Spanish favourites best enjoyed with regional wines and cocktails. The Tapas Brunch is priced at HKD 598 per adult and HKD 328 per child.
Festive Barbecue Night
Enjoying sizzling barbecued delights around a firing grill makes winter nights extra warm and cosy. Staged at Cotton Tree Terrace, the Festive Barbeque Night on 1, 8, 15 and 17 December presents appetising salads and a tantalising selection of premium meats and seafood grilled to perfection. Diners can also tuck into delightful desserts to end the night on a sweet note. The menu is priced at HKD 680 per adult and HKD 340 per child.
Dinner Celebrations
Popinjays, the hotel’s iconic rooftop restaurant and bar, is the perfect destination for sophisticated celebrants to enjoy sweeping views of the city. This Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, Chef de Cuisine Alexandre Viriot will present a lavish five-course dinner featuring European classics with a modern touch such as Poached Boston Lobster, Double-Boiled Duck Bouillon, Seared Atlantic Seabass and Wagyu Beef with Procini Mushroom. The dinner is priced at HKD 1,388 for adults (HKD 688 for children) on 24 December and HKD 1,288 for adults (HKD 588 for children) on 25 December.
Dinners are invited to ring in the New Year with an evening of indulgence on 31 December at Popinjays with a five-course meal for HKD 1,588 per adult and HKD 794 per child. Presenting deluxe creations such as Lobster and Chestnut Velouté, Seared Atlantic Seabass and Wagyu Beef with Celeriac and Wild Mushrooms, the expertly crafted menu affords diners a luxurious finale to the year. Those looking to embark on year 2022 with a night of rivalry and a line-up of live DJ performances should not miss the Countdown Party at Popinjays from 8 p.m. until late, at HKD 1,488 per adult including a glass of champagne, unlimited soft drinks and canapés. Guests dining or staying at The Murray on 31 December evening can enjoy a special rate of HKD 688 and HKD 258 per adult respectively, including a glass of champagne and unlimited soft drinks.
The Tai Pan’s modern bistro menu will also be available at the Garden Lounge and the Beer Garden on the evenings of Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Anchored by seasonal organic and artisanal produce, the expertly crafted menu features festive seasonal dishes including Prawns a la Plancha, Australian Striploin, Roast Turkey and Sake Marinated Codfish. The four-course menu is available at HKD 1,088 for adults (HKD 598 for children) on 24 December and HKD 988 for adults (HKD 498 for children) on 25 December.
A splendid five-course Gala Dinner will be served on New Year’s Eve at HKD 1,288 for adults and HKD 644 for children. Diners will be taken on a gastronomic journey spotlighting artisanal ingredients such as Oyster Ceviche, Pistachio Crusted Foie Gras Torchon, Ox-Tail Consommé and Black Truffle Steamed Tooth Fish.
