Jiefangbei

Jiefangbei / Chongqing People's Liberation Monument

Yuzhong District, Chongqing

Chongqing People's Liberation Monument was built in 1945 to commemorate the victory over the Japanese in Word War II. It was renamed in 1950 to commemorate the Communist conquest of the area. It is in a large pedestrian shopping plaza regarded as the city's most historical financial and cmmercial centre with many stores, bookstores, theatres, hotels and office buildings. A snacks street is 300 meters away.

Hongya

Hongya Cave

Hongya Cave combines travel, business, and cultural scenery into one grand view, with an overriding theme of Stilted Buildings, which stands for the famous traditional Bayu minority architectural style on raised wooden stilts. Yangtze

Yangtze River Cable Car

Cable Car Station, Xinhua Road, Yuzhong District, Chongqing

Nicknamed "airbus" of the city, the cable car across the Yangtze River is China's first large cross-river passenger cableway and remains a significant part of local culture even nowadays. It is a unique way to appreciate the gorgeous scenery on the two sides of the river in daytime and the night views of illuminating neon and twinkling stars. Riders could also feel the imposing rush and hear the thunderous roar of the Yangtze River from high above in the cable car. It’s 20 minutes’ drive from hotel.

Wulong

Wulong Karst Region

Wulong Xian, Chongqing

Wulong with its stunning natural scenery and hiking highlights is listed on UNESCO World Heritage List. It has become one of the major attractions around Chongqing for people interested in primitive scenic areas, gorges, wildlife, and caves. Wulong, along with Libo and Shilin karst, are the three regions named on the World Heritage List’s South China Karst.

Wulong Karst landscape was an important filming place for Transformers 4 Age of Extinction.

Ciqikou

Ciqikou Ancient Town

Cinan Road, Shapingba District, Chongqing

Ciqikou is on a hill above the Jialing River in the western part of Chongqing city and was once was a prominent market, trade town and river port in the Ming Dynasty. Some buildings have been renovated and preserved. Now it has become one of the city's commercial districts. There are local teahouses showcasing performances in traditional Chinese music. It is a place to see what Chongqing used to be and to enjoy shopping, dining and entertainment.

Dazu

Dazu Rock Carvings

406 Xian Dao, Dazu District, Chongqing

Listed as a World Heritage Site, the Dazu area contains an exceptional series of scenic religious rock carvings found from the 9th to 13th century. The Carvings are made up of 75 protected sites with 50,000 statues of over 100,000 Chinese characters forming inscriptions and epigraphs. They are remarkable for their aesthetic quality and rich diversity of subject matters. They are evidence of the harmonious synthesis of Buddhism, Taoism and Confucianism.
